You’ll notice that the rice water forms a thin layer on the floor, which helps to loosen stubborn stains. At this point, don’t press too hard—just gently wipe the floor with the old cotton cloth 4 to 5 times. This will help remove all the dirt without damaging the surface. After that, let the floor dry for 15 minutes before applying wax. The result is a bright, smooth, and non-slip finish that lasts. Although it might seem like extra work to wash the rice and then wipe the floor, this method is actually very efficient and gives a unique shine that you won’t get with regular cleaning. To make things easier, it’s best to move furniture to a corner first. If the room is large, you can spray and clean half the floor at a time. For tough food stains, spraying a bit of water beforehand makes them much easier to wipe away. Another thing I noticed is that using fresh cream instead of rice water can make the floor even shinier, but because of its oily content, it tends to leave residue behind. So if you go this route, be sure to wipe thoroughly to avoid any greasy buildup.
