Heilongjiang Smart Electricity Demand Analysis Model Pilot Implementation

Polaris Smart Grid Online News: Recently, the reporter learned from the Heilongjiang Electric Power Company's Ministry of Science and Technology and the Marketing Department that the demand-side management technology project under the smart electricity initiative, led by the Hegang Electric Power Bureau, has officially entered its implementation phase. This marks a significant step forward in the province's efforts to modernize its power system. The project leverages intelligent and digital technologies to study and analyze the current state of power supply and demand in Heilongjiang, as well as the challenges in managing smart electricity consumption at the grassroots level. By establishing a comprehensive model for demand-side management under the smart electricity framework, the initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of electricity usage and optimize resource allocation. As one of the key scientific and technological projects approved by the State Grid Corporation of China in 2012, this project is being led by the Hegang Electric Power Bureau. Through comparative analysis of domestic and international demand-side management programs, the team is focusing on the needs of China’s smart grid development. They are examining various aspects such as smart home appliances, intelligent buildings, and transportation systems, as well as load control, tariff response, forecasting, and energy efficiency management. The goal is to develop a practical and efficient demand-side management strategy tailored for large industrial and commercial users. During the project’s execution, the Hegang Electric Power Bureau has thoroughly explained the importance of demand-side management in the context of smart power consumption in Heilongjiang. It has also created the first demand-side management system model under the smart power consumption target in China. Additionally, the project includes models for phased demand-side management, cost-benefit analysis, energy-saving potential assessment, and risk evaluation—providing solid technical support for future expansion and application.
