2. The tolerance of the outer diameter of the shaft (or sleeve) of the part where the mechanical seal is installed is h6, and the surface roughness Ra is not greater than 3.2um.
3. When installing, the shaft, seal chamber (pump cover) and mechanical seal must be cleaned to prevent impurities from entering the sealed installation area.
4. The installation rotor shaft axial turbulence ≤ 0.3mm.
Second, install
The installation of the mechanical seal is performed during the assembly of the pump. After the pump shaft is mounted on the bearing housing and the sealing element of the bearing housing is installed, install the mechanical seal according to the following steps:
1. Before installation, make sure that the product model and specifications are consistent with the equipment requirements.
2. In the installation of the sealed shaft, cavity and gland and other contact with the auxiliary seal evenly oiled (Note: In the case of ethylene propylene rubber, or the medium is not allowed to inject oil, you can apply vegetable oil or soapy water.
3. Over-pressure cover through-hole, using diagonal cross-tightening method, tighten the entire seal with the sealing cavity (pump cover) with bolts.
4. When the mechanical seal is equipped with an auxiliary system, connect the piping properly as indicated.
5. Put the mechanical seal on the shaft and install it in place according to the designed working height.
Third, test
1. After the above steps are completed, manually turn the car and observe the changes in the torque and the presence or absence of abnormal scratches to determine whether to re-install and adjust.
2. Open the valve, seal the cavity into the sealed medium, all the air out of the sealed chamber, so that the sealed cavity is full of media, and observe the seal with or without leakage.
3. Confirm that the above two items are correct and then perform trial operation.
Fourth, operation precautions
1. When the equipment is running, pay attention to whether the control instrument is normal or not, and whether the equipment has abnormal noise or overheating.
2. During the test run, attention should be paid to vibration and sound changes of the equipment. Due to differences in the thermal expansion of the shaft and housing, the machine may vibrate, in which case seal failure will be induced. At this time, the machine should be shut down and the pipelines, couplings, anchor bolts and other parts should be adjusted and strengthened again.
3. At the beginning of the operation, pay attention to the leakage of the seal. Under normal circumstances, the initial leakage may be large, but after a certain period of running, the leakage will decrease or even approach zero.
