Before sowing, soil treatment is a common approach. For this, you can use 48% trifluralin emulsifiable concentrate at 100–150 ml per mu, 48% dimethenamid-P EC at 200 ml, 33% pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate at 100–150 ml, or 50% acetochlor emulsion at 75–150 ml. These should be mixed with 50 kg of water and sprayed evenly over the soil. It's important to note that trifluralin is sensitive to light and can volatilize quickly, reducing its effectiveness. Therefore, after application, the soil should be lightly incorporated by tilling 2–3 cm deep.
