1. The standard urban road monitoring poles are typically designed with a height of 6 meters and a crossarm of 1 meter. All embedded concrete parts are made of C25 concrete, meeting national standards for steel reinforcement and wind resistance requirements. The cement used is 425 ordinary Portland cement, and the concrete mix ratio and minimum cement content must comply with GBJ204-83 specifications. This ensures durability and stability under various weather conditions.
2. Each monitoring pole must be properly grounded to ensure electrical safety. It is recommended that the grounding wire be buried underground separately from the pole structure, and the grounding resistance should be less than 4 ohms. This helps protect the equipment from lightning strikes and electrical surges.
3. The threaded section above the flange of the pre-embedded anchor bolts should be carefully wrapped to avoid damage during installation. According to the installation drawings, the embedded parts must be correctly positioned so that the arm protrudes perpendicular to the traffic lane (or as directed by the engineer). The anchor bolts serve as the main structural ribs, ensuring proper alignment and strength.
4. The surface of the concrete poured for the monitoring pole foundation should be flat, with a deviation of less than 5mm per meter, to maintain the level of the embedded components. The embedded flange should be placed 20–30 mm below the surrounding ground level, and the reinforcing ribs should be covered with C25 fine aggregate concrete to prevent water accumulation and ensure long-term stability.
5. When the length of the cable conduit exceeds 50 meters or the distance between conduits at both ends is less than 100 mm, a manhole must be installed. The internal dimensions of the manhole should be 500 mm (length) × 500 mm (width) × 600 mm (depth), with a gravel layer for drainage. The walls of the manhole should be coated with cement mortar to enhance durability and prevent moisture penetration.
6. The control box is provided by the equipment manufacturer based on the required capacity. It is constructed from high-quality cold-rolled steel plates with a minimum wall thickness of 1.2 mm. The outer casing is powder-coated for waterproofing and anti-theft protection, making it suitable for outdoor environments.
7. Structural steel used in the construction must not contain defects such as cracks, delamination, heavy scale, or slag inclusions. Any pitting or scratches on the surface should not exceed half the negative tolerance of the steel thickness or 0.5 mm, whichever is smaller, to maintain structural integrity and appearance.
8. The design follows the latest national standards, including "Carbon Structural Steel," "Electrical Installation Engineering Cable Line Construction and Acceptance Specifications," and "Code for Construction and Acceptance of Reinforced Concrete Projects." The design wind load is set at 23 m/s², and the expected fatigue life is 30 years, ensuring long-term performance and reliability.
