The successful manufacture of the Taishan No. 1 nuclear power generator symbolizes that Dongfang Electric once again set a new record in the field of large-capacity, high-parameter generator manufacturing and reached a new peak in the industry. The Taishan Nuclear Power Plant is the first in China and the third in the world to use large-scale commercial nuclear power plants built with EPR's third-generation nuclear power technology. It is the largest cooperation project between China and France in the field of nuclear energy to date. Dongfang Motor provided the first phase of all nuclear power generators for the Taishan Nuclear Power Plant. Its stand-alone capacity is as high as 1,750 megawatts.
