The official research into bauxite homogenization materials in China began during the Yangquan project in the 1970s. It was included as a key issue in the "8th Five-Year Plan," laying a solid foundation for both research and production. In recent years, laboratory studies by various scholars have demonstrated that mullite-based homogenized materials derived from bauxite exhibit excellent high-temperature mechanical properties, such as high-temperature fracture strength and creep resistance. When the ratio of corundum to mullite is 75:25 or 25:75, the performance is particularly favorable. These findings support the long-term theoretical basis for the development of bauxite materials in China and reinforce the industry's commitment to this direction. With continued innovation and technological advancement, the future of bauxite utilization looks brighter than ever.
