PE-RT tube production process and size

PE-RT, a heat-resistant polyethylene, is a non-crosslinked polyethylene that can be used in hot water pipes. It also highlights its non-crosslinking properties, called "high temperature resistant non-crosslinked polyethylene." The floor heating pipe is a medium density polyethylene produced by a special molecular design and synthesis process, which uses a method of copolymerizing ethylene and octene. The presence of short-chain branches of octene prevents the macromolecules of PE from crystallizing in a platelet crystal, but through several crystals, forming a bond between the crystals, which retains the good flexibility of PE. High thermal conductivity and inertness, while making it more pressure-resistant, this modification method is similar to the PP-R currently common on the market. PE-RT tubes can be used for all levels of use of hot water pipes specified in ISO 10508.

Second, PE-RT tube and PE-X tube performance comparison

1. PE-RT pipe has good flexibility, convenient laying and economy. It can reduce the use of pipe fittings by coiling and bending during construction, thus reducing the cost; while PE-X is resistant to brittleness and is not easy to bend. It is easy to break, so the probability of causing an accident increases. In order to avoid the occurrence of fractures, the mechanical connection of pipe fittings is not only troublesome, but also increases investment and increases the possibility of leakage.

2. The stress of the PE-RT pipe in the curved part of the pipe can be relaxed quickly, and there will be no “rebound” phenomenon; while the PE-X has poor toughness, it will generate a large stress in the curved part, which is difficult to avoid due to stress concentration. Cracking occurs at the bend of the pipe.

3. PE-RT pipe has low brittle fracture temperature and good low temperature resistance. Therefore, it can be constructed in the case of low temperature in winter, and it does not need to be preheated when bending the pipe. It not only solves the problem that the northern region cannot be constructed due to the low temperature in winter. The problem, and the bending radius can be as small as 5 times the diameter of the pipe; and PE-X is difficult to construct if it does not take preheating and insulation measures.

4, PE-RT pipe can be hot-melt connection, thus forming a completely closed anti-seepage system, can be buried. If the laid pipe is damaged due to construction, it can be repaired with pipe fittings to avoid waste of the whole pipe; PE-X pipe can only be mechanically connected with metal pipe fittings, and cannot be buried. If it is damaged, the whole pipe must be replaced. .

5. PE-RT pipe has good environmental adaptability: under the condition of working temperature of 60 and pressure of 0.4, the pipeline can be safely used for more than 50 years. DX800 and DOWLEX*2344E have passed the sanitary approval of FDA and TUV, and the pipe is in production. No toxic additives are added in the process, the inner wall is smooth, no scaling, no bacteria, and can be safely applied in the field of drinking water transportation; while PE-X pipe is not suitable for water supply pipeline system because of its own odor. .

6, PE-RT pipe is a green environmentally friendly product that can be recycled and reused; and PE-X pipe can not be recycled. PE-X pipe has an odor, such as opening the exhaust valve, odor gas will affect the home life.

7, PE-X pipe to achieve more than 65% of the degree of crosslinking, must go through the cooking process. When the degree of crosslinking does not meet this requirement, its long-term water pressure resistance and high temperature resistance are poor, and the service life cannot be guaranteed. Most of the existing PE-X production uses silane cross-linking, and the biggest disadvantage of its existence is the degree of cross-linking non-uniformity; while PE-RT guarantees the good toughness and outstanding pressure resistance of the pipe from the raw materials, no requirement Cross-linking control reduces human factors.
