The building energy-saving market will reach 50 trillion gates

In the 40 key public building energy-saving renovation cities that have been initially identified by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the calculation of public buildings in the next two years for each key city will be 4 million square meters. The market size may be around 400 billion yuan. .

A number of relevant departments recently said that during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, public buildings were identified as major areas for energy conservation and consumption reduction. According to the "Notice of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China on Further Promoting the Energy Efficiency of Public Buildings" recently announced, the state will launch a number of key cities for energy conservation in public buildings. By 2015, the energy consumption per unit area of ​​public buildings in these cities will drop by more than 20%. Among them, the energy consumption of the construction area of ​​large public buildings will drop by more than 30%.

According to relevant persons from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, as of June 20, local governments have completed the application for the key cities for energy conservation renovation of public buildings. The Ministry has initially determined that nearly 40 cities have been selected. According to regulations, in the selected cities, each city must complete reconstruction of not less than 4 million square meters in the next two years. In terms of financial subsidies, the Ministry of Finance subsidizes the public buildings energy-saving projects in these cities at a standard of RMB 20 per square meter. This means that in these cities, the total government subsidy for public building energy-saving projects in the next two years will be at least 3 billion yuan.

Xie Ji, deputy director of the Department of Circumstances of the National Development and Reform Commission, said that during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, the country will implement mandatory standards for energy efficiency in the construction sector. The state will promote public buildings, especially key energy buildings, to achieve energy reduction goals through energy saving or purchasing energy savings, and control the energy consumption within the limits so as to stimulate demand for energy conservation and cultivate and develop energy-saving service markets.
